Mobility 2 - Sofia (Mar.2022)

The aim of the activity was to prepare and perform a short piece of theater incorporating history and culture of the partner schools' countries. Students had the opportunity to collaborate in a multinational environment which gave them new perspectives and ideas. Students designed, prepared the prompts, directed and performed the piece on their own - all the actions were be based on Inquiry-Based Learning circle. The activity also included: - presentation of the results from the second module of project work - integration workshops - cultural field trip - creating the pages on eTwinning - evaluation of the visit All the activities included skills required by national curricula form different subjects eg. developing personal expression through Art, improving language skills as well as promoting cultural heritage and history of the country. Students were able to learn about other cultures from the firsthand perspective, they consolidated their knowledge about the history and gained new information. This also applied to developing tolerant and open citizens caring for cultural heritage which is the mission of all the partner schools. Due to the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Polish participants from MSP Paderewski in Lublin were not able to attend the meetings as the parents were afraid of their childern traveliing during such a dangerous and unpredictable situation happening so close to their borders. As the activities were about movement and Art and involved a lot of practical activities, the coordinators decided that it will be the best not to orginise a virtual meeting as it would force the students in Sofia to sit in front of computers and after the pandemics we wanted to focus on actively engaging students. Polish students sent their videos from Module 2 and watched their colleagues performances after the exchange.
